"Pulse," composed of sharp geometric forms, is an abstract expression of internal and social rhythms. The dynamic lines formed by the metal rods symbolize the sudden rise and fall of life, the movement between tension and relaxation. The structure, which multiplies from the center outward, creates the impression of both a vibration and an echo. Like a movement attempting to make the invisible visible, the work invites the viewer to listen to their own inner pulse.

ARTIST

Mukaddes Yörük Kalaycıoğlu

Mukaddes Yörük Kalaycıoğlu is a sculptor born in Denizli. She has been working in the Sculpture Department at Akdeniz University since 2014 and lives in Antalya. In her early works, she focused on formal meanings, focusing on simple and symbolic narratives. She expressed her thoughts by transforming them into pointed, sharp forms with metal.

During his qualification/doctorate in Art and Design, he focused on "practices arising from the intersection of furniture, once considered a craft and, in the modern era, a design discipline, and sculpture, which is linked to a broader concept of art." He creates these works, which he calls functional sculptures, by incorporating the practical functions of furniture into his sculptural language. He also uses function to reinforce the work's content. His hybrid works, which neither glorify art nor denigrate design, question everyday life through an aesthetic lens.
